Obituary for John Perry Ewing, Sr.
Ewing Sr., John Perry,
Age 69, of Louisville, passed away March 26, 2018. He was born February 7, 1949 to the late Tilford Jr. and Margaret Jane Ewing. John was an avid fan of UK and member of Rick’s Rebel’s Softball Team. He loved researching his Scottish ancestry and family history. In his younger years he worked at Oscar Ewing Dairy. John proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves for 22 years in the 5010th US Army Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lisbeth (Libby) Ewing; son, John Ewing Jr. (Ashley); daughter, Ashley Ewing Case (Brandon); brother, Tilford A. Ewing III; sister, Virginia Diana Martin (Arthur); two grandchildren, Claire Elaine Ewing, Brooklyn Lisbeth Case; and one unborn grandchild, Caroline Perry Ewing; and nephews, Arthur and David Martin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 PM on Monday, April 2nd at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40205.
Visitation will be from 2 - 7 PM on Monday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).
