Harwood,
Fred L., 98, of Louisville, died Friday Sept. 8, 2017 at his home.
Born in St. Louis, MO, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served in four major campaigns in the Pacific Theater and awarded four Bronze Stars. Fred was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Fred Harwood, Jr. and his sister, Dorothy Weymouth.
Fred is survived by his wife of 71 years, Josephine (Hagan) Harwood; his daughter, Geri Hale-Cooper (Robin); 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
His memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 23rd, at 10am; at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Ln, with burial of ashes in KY Veterans Cemetery Central at a later date.
