BENDER,
Hans Fredrich, 93, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Born in Durlach Aue, Germany, he retired from Hubbuch & Co. and was a WWII Army Veteran. Hans was also a member of the German American Club, Highland Post 201, VFW Post 3636, Teamster 89 retiree, and a KY Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Wayne Bender; and parents, Fredrich “Fritz” and Elise L. Bender.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Edith LaFern Bender; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands.
