Obituary for Paul Glen Combest

Paul Glen Combest, 76, of Louisville and Adair County, KY died May 29, 2017. He was born March 11, 1941 in Casey County, KY to Ethel Wilkinson Combest and Paul Dow Combest. Paul graduated from Liberty High School in 1958 and earned a B.B.A. from Eastern Kentucky University in 1962. He was a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army as an Armored Officer, he served 13 months in Korea as a Recon Platoon Leader and flew the DMZ as an Arial Observer; he rose to the rank of Captain. Paul retired from Ford Motor Company, Kentucky Truck Plant after 34 years. Paul was awarded Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is survived by Wanda Hardin his wife of 56 years, daughters Kimberly Combest and Tammy Combest, three grandchildren, Eliza Glen, Grace and Luca, and a host of extended family. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 3rd at 3pm, at McKinney- Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY 42539; with a visitation before the service from 12-3pm. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation in Louisville will be Friday, June 2nd from 4-7pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, Ky 40205.
