Bishop Robert E. Dymek was the father of four (4) children (Bryan, Rob, Tom, and Beth). He has born and raised in Manville, NJ. After High School, he served in the US Navy, and received an honorable discharge. Once he returned home from service, he moved to New Brunswick, NJ, and later to Hamilton Township, NJ. While in Hamilton Township, he was active in the initial mayoral campaign of John K "Jack" Rafferty, who served as mayor of Hamilton Township for six terms (1976-2000). He worked for the NJ Turnpike Authority for 28 years before retiring in November of 1998. After he retired, he moved to IA, where the start of his new life began. Unfortunately we do not know much about our dad after that, but learned that he lived in IL, WI, and KY. He was ordained a priest, and later became a Bishop.
