Lampton, Herschel C., 92, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, March 01, 2017.
Born in Breckenridge Co., KY, to the late Nobel and Mary Ann Lampton, he was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and fishing, but more than anything he loved his family.
Herschel was preceded in death by brothers Russell and Leroy Lampton.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Cenieth Lampton; son, Donald Allen Tucker (Deborah); brother, Rudolph Lampton; grandchildren, Kim Bowling (Glen) and Stefani Tucker; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Bowling; and many nieces and nephews.
Herschel’s funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, Monday, March 6, 2017 at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1101 S. 3rd St., with burial to follow in KY Veteran’s Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be from 2-6pm on Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
