Obituary for Kinziro "Kenny" Aizawa

Kinziro "Kenny"  Aizawa
Aizawa, Kinziro Kenneth, 86, of Louisville, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Baptist Health.
Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kenny came to the U.S. in 1950. He graduated from St. Xavier High School, and obtained a BS, MS, and Ph.D from the University of Louisville. He was a chemist and briefly worked at Olin Mathieson before spending most of his career at DuPont Chemical. Kenny was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church. Friends knew him as the most kind and generous of people.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kinzo Aizawa; first wife, Betty Aizawa; second wife, Phyllis (Culloty) Aizawa; and siblings, Mary Rose Yunker and her husband Charles.
Kenny is survived by his sons, Kenneth Lee Aizawa (Angela) and Jeffrey Scott Aizawa; stepsons, Michael (Bethnia), Sean, Ryan and Jason (Kazumi) Culloty; brothers, Ed, Pat and Tim Stivers; grandchildren, Daniel (Jennifer) and Andrea Ybarra (Jordane Erkelboudt) and Christian, Ethan, Lauren and Marie Culloty; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Leah, AJ, and Conner.
His visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 8:30-10:00 am at Epiphany, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am.
