Cox,
Francelle Weber Wood, 96, of Louisville, an indomitable caring matriarch, left us Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
A child of the depression, she left school at 16 to contribute to her family, and continued working until retiring from Fisher Packing Co. in 1983. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ascension Catholic Church.
Francelle was preceded in death by her parents, Frank A. and Susie Williams Weber; first husband, Robert G. Wood III; second husband, Donald W. Cox; and sons, Robert G. Wood IV and Warren E. Wood.
Ms. Cox leaves to cherish her memory a son, Raymond H. Wood (Linda); daughter, Susanne W. Smith (William); sisters, Carmel Crabtree and Rosemary Gatrost; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynbrook Dr. with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
