Wright, Margaret Louise, 77, of Louisville, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016.
Born in Louisville, the former Margaret Coxwell worked in retail, was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and was an avid UK fan. She was a volunteer for Baptist East Hospital and the Republican Party, and worked the voting polls. She loved to dog sit, was a Commissioner of the city of Bellmeade, and loved to talk. She never met a stranger, and was loved by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted W. Wright, Sr.; son, Ted W. Wright, Jr.; and parents, Dr. Alvin B. and Frances Coxwell.
Margaret is survived by daughter, Molly Mims Gatewood Bowles (Kevin); sister, Missy Campbell (Don); grandson, Brandon Gatewood; nephews, Bart (Beth), Rob (Christy), and Chris (Tonya) Campbell; beloved pets, Max and Miss Kitty; special neighbor, Tammy; and many friends and family.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Walnut Street Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. The family will also receive visitors at the church, before the service from 10:30-11:00 a.m.
