Ronald D. Erickson, 55, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016. He was born in Grants, NM on November 13, 1960. He was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in chemical engineering and worked for 31 years in the chemical industry. He worked his way up through management ranks and led several sites as plant manager.

Ron was a diehard Kentucky Wildcats fan and enjoyed trout fishing, golfing and playing the mandolin. He had an easygoing personality with a big heart and talent for just about anything. He was adventurous and fearless and always willing to try new things.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Ann Erickson of Lexington, KY.

He is survived by his daughter Katelyn Erickson, sons Phillip Erickson and Brad Erickson, brother Bill Erickson (Marlene), sister Katherine Williams (TC III), nieces Kristen Jannings (Shane) and Mary Elizabeth Williams, nephew TC Williams IV, great nephews Brayden Jannings and Noah Jannings, and uncle Bob Erickson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road from 3-5 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the C.A.S.T. For Kids Foundation at CASTforkids.org.
