Roger was so special with his warm smile and open to listen. Several boy-girl events, chosen by our classmates, Roger and I were their choices. Our last event, Roger and I were selected by our class as speakers for our 1956 Graduation Class at East Mecklenburg High School - such an honor we shared. Our last contact, was in Charlotte at our 50th Class Reunion. Roger, with his outstanding smile, appeared so healthy, so happy! I am shocked and sadden to learn of his illness and death!!! Sending my love and prayers to Roger's family!
