BRINKHAUS, Ginny M., 46, passed away Thursday, May 21st, 2015 after her long fight with ovarian cancer. Her spirit, humor and unselfish personality will be missed by all she touched.
Ginny was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish where she was an active Communion Minister. She was a Sacred Heart Academy graduate and spent many years working for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring.
Ginny is survived by her parents, George and Millie (Wellington) Brinkhaus; brother Steve Brinkhaus (Kristy); and sisters, Peggy Miller, Mary Anne Burch (Dennis), Julie Motiff (Jacques), Katie Downey (David) and Susan Key (James). She is also survived by nieces and nephews for whom she always displayed great interest and love, Jessica Bishop (Eric), Madalyn and Nick Brinkhaus (Ashley), Amanda Williams (Brian), Kathryn and Rebecca Burch, Sam, Meredith and Michael Motiff, Alison and Anna Downey, and Elizabeth Key; great-nephew, Parker Bishop also survives; aunt Margaret Schum; her saddened faithful black lab Sydney; and special friends, Theresa, Rebecca, Shannon, Jorge and Margie.
Ginny and her family also wish to acknowledge and thank the many loving care professionals she befriended over the years.
A Mass celebrating Ginny’s life will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Lane, with burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, and from 11am-12:45pm Tuesday at the church.
