Zehnder, Sherrill , 92, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Louisville, she was the former Sherrill Platt, a graduate of Mercy Academy, volunteered at Our Lady of Peace for over 40 years. She was a member of Audubon Country Club and a life-long member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She received The Champions for Children Award in 1999, The Bell Award in 2000 and in 2001 she was named a Jefferson County Millennium Maker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William “Bill” Zehnder.

Sherrill is survived by a daughter, Jaynet Tolan; son, Mike Zehnder (Jenny); grandchildren, Brittany Vencill (Peter), Kimberly and Nicholas and Scott Zehnder; and nieces, Patti Moses and Annette Kleier.

Her funeral mass will be at noon, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Raphael the Archangel , corner of Bardstown Rd. and Lancashire Ave. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m Wednesday, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
