Obituary for Ruth Elizabeth Weber Perkins
Ruth Ann Weber Perkins, 69, passed away on April 23, 2018.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, John Christian Weber and Ruth Elizabeth Weber.
Ruth is survived by her children, Kirsten Russell (Mike) and Chad Perkins (Kristie); grandchildren, Alister, Sloan, and Webb Russell, and Audrey and Ainsley Perkins; siblings, Joe Weber (Sue), Sandy O’Bryant (Darold); her former spouse, Les Perkins ; and her many lifetime friends and sisters in Christ.
Born on February 26, 1949 in Louisville, KY, she was a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1968.
Ruth devoted her entire life to her family; her children and grandchildren were her world. She was an incredibly strong Christian, spoke often and freely of her love for the Lord and was known by all to be generous. Her love for her family and friends knew no boundaries.
Her visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Home of the Innocents or Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
