Obituary for Nila Lee Hoffer (Burton)
Nila L. (Burton) Hoffer 87 of Pewee Valley passed on Friday April 20th, 2018. She was a past member of the First Presbyterian Church of Owensboro, KY.
Nila was born March 11, 1931 in Moundsville, WV to Robert L. and Beulah V. Burton. She is survived by a sister Dorothy Jean Burton. She is survived by her three children, Sally Black (Douglas), Harry Craig Hoffer (Sharon) and Holly H.Reed (Ty). Nila has five grandchildren, Brandon Black, Katy Baker, Taylor Hoffer, Andrea Logsdon and Ellie Reed, 7 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Dorothy Burton.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert C. Burton
Nila is also survived by husband Harry Hoffer. She was Harry’s wife and Life Partner. What they accomplished was done together. She will be missed and loved forever.
Nila’s visitation will be Monday April 23, 2018 from 10AM to 1PM with her funeral service to follow at 1PM at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Burial will follow at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, KY.
