Lydia Alexander Roberts passed away peacefully Monday, February 12, 2018 at Baptist East. She was born in Moulton, AL. 11/21/24.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda Gipson (Virgil), her parents and five siblings.
Lydia is survived by her son Nick Roberts (Eileen Dolle) and her daughter Dolores Calebs (Kenneth), Grandchildren Bryan Roberts, Kimberly Calebs (Steve Drake), James Roberts (Tara), Cary Calebs (Michelle), Virgil Gipson (Danelle), Carl Gipson (Angela), Lauren Calebs Zakem (Daniel), Benjamin Calebs and 14 great grandchildren.
Lydia was a Louisville resident for most of her life having moved here at 20 to attend Spencerian College. Upon graduation she joined a local company as secretary to the President. While her children were in school she completed her high school diploma, in evening classes.
Her family was very important to her and she was most proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
A bowler for most of her life, she continued her game with WII Bowling at the Eastern Star home with her new friends and family.
A memorial service and visitation will be 3:00 – 6:30 with a service to follow on Thursday, February 15th at Highland Funeral Home 3331 Taylorsville Road.
In lieu of flowers Expressions of Sympathy may be made to the Eastern Star Home.
