Charles A. "Butch" Kincaid, Jr. M.D.,

78, passed away on January 7, 2018 in Maui, Hawaii after falling at his winter home. He was born on January 20, 1939 in Roanoke, Virginia. His education began at Trinity High School where he graduated in the first graduating class in 1957. It was there that he began excelling in track and field that lasted throughout his lifetime achieving numerous victories.

He completed his undergraduate degrees at Bellarmine College with a major in pre-med and a masters in Pathology. He graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School where he also completed his residency in General Surgery. He then went to Toledo, Ohio for his Plastic Surgery residency. followed by serving two years in the US Air Force at Wright Patterson in Dayton, Ohio where he was Chief of Plastic Surgery. In 1974 he returned to Louisville where he practiced plastic surgery for 40 years.

He was a loving, caring and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Addison Kincaid, Sr. and Sarah Haydon Kincaid. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cheri Kincaid, his children Elizabeth Blair (Richard), Charles A. Kincaid III (Kim), Sara DeBeer (Jeff). John Kincaid (Kristine), Ann Buchanan (Scott), Suzy Shene (Michael), David Kincaid (Starr), Gwen Van Horn, brother Richard Kincaid (Deirdre) and grandchildren Alex, Justine, Stephanie, Michael, Tonner, Jackson, Anna, Brendan, Max, Ryan, Addison, Calista, Noah, Alexandra, Ryder, and Maddox.

His Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Saturday, January 20, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A reception to celebrate his life will follow at Hurstbourne Country Club.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 19, from 1 ??? 8 PM at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
