HUMPHREY,
Abb, 101, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend to many, passed to heavenly eternal life on December 26, 2017 in Charlotte, NC.

Born in Martwick, KY, he spent most of his life in Louisville KY. Abb enjoyed a long career with L&N Railroad and retired from CSX Railroad as Manager of Labor Relations. He was also a long time member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Abb was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Irene Standifer Humphrey and daughter, Rebecca Humphrey Coley. He leaves daughter, Sandra Sherrard (Jim) of Charlotte, NC; son, David Humphrey (Gloria) of Gatlinburg, TN; six adoring grandchildren, Michael and James Sherrard of Charlotte, NC, Tammy Mayfield of Corydon, IN, Meredith Pugh of China Grove, NC, Amanda Stebbins of Clermont, FL and Jeff Coley Chattanooga, TN; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

His service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday December 30, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with entombment in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
