OWEN,
William “Bill” A., 64, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
Bill was a retired registered nurse and was also certified as a first assistant in surgery and proudly assisted on the artificial heart program with Dr. William DeVries.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Alice Owen; parents, Floyd and Mildred Owen; brother, John P. Owen; sister, Mary Finley; and nephew, Douglas Kurtz.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Donna Case; son, Jacob Joseph Owen; sisters, Suzanne Ising (Jack), Theresa Kurtz (Matt); and Sara Riley; and brothers, Steve Owen (Cheryl) and Alan Owen (Vicki).
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to WHAS Crusade for Children.
