Obituary for Donald Melvin Parton
PARTON,
Donald Melvin, 75, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Baptist Health.
He was a retired Sergeant with the Dallas Texas Police Department, and Air Force Veteran, and a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Parton; and his parents, Harold & Josephine.
He is survived by his loving wife, Renee Parton; son, Phillip Parton (Dawn); daughter, Robyn Arnold (Larry); grandchildren, Taylor, Spencer, Berkley, Marin, and Jessica, daughter-in-law, Kristin; 3 brothers, 2 sisters, several nieces, nephews, and his best friend, Toby, the poodle.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 also at Highlands Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central, 2501 Dixie Hwy., Ft. KNOX, Ky.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Matthews Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
