Jane Anne Davis Lollis, 80, of Louisville, died December 5, 2017. She was born December 8, 1936 in Greenville, KY to the late Rev. Harry M. Davis and Kathleen Trover Davis. Jane was a graduate of Springfield High School in Illinois, Transylvania University, and New York University Law School. She worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development for many years. She was the Director of Housing for the City of Louisville prior to entering a private law practice specializing in urban development.
Jane was a life-long member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church and served on the Board of Church Extension, the Pension Fund, and the National City Christian Church Foundation. She loved the theater, American history, was an avid reader of biography, and loved to travel. Throughout her life she was known for her commitment to honesty and integrity in both her work and everyday life. She held us all to a high standard and will be sorely missed as a co-worker, friend, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Trover Vanderburg.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah L. Hedlund, and Carol D. Lollis - Taylor (Sam) ; niece, Kirsten Vanderburg Hall; nephew, Barton Vanderburg and her five grandchildren, Emmett, Zeb, and Mason Lollis-Taylor and Erin and Justin Hedlund.
