Dannie Ann Toon, 85, died peacefully and went to be with Jesus, on Thursday, November 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by husband, A. Wayne Toon Jr. the love of her life, mother, Adelaide Oerther Kraus and father, Cyril Kraus.
Dannie impacted many students through PTA, Girl Scouts, and teen club at St. Helen’s School. She enjoyed bowling, singing with Sweet Adelines Louisville Chorus, and Square Dancing especially with Bells and Bows.
She will be missed by many, and heaven will be a more joyous place with her there. Dannie Ann is survived by her daughters; Mickey Holtz (Alan), Marlene Dennis (John), Diana Baumann (Don), Maria Taylor (Skip), her brother; David Kraus, sister in law; Linda Drescher (Don), her ten grandchildren; Matthew (Kate), John (Kristin), Sarah (Dan), Aaron (Lindsay), Adam, Patrick (Meghan), Christopher (Emily), Isaac, Olivia, Jared, her ten great grandchildren and many other loving relatives.
Please join us to say your farewells at Highland Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205, Sunday, November, 12 from 5-8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Rd, 40207, Monday, November 13 at 10am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feed the Children or Hosparus of Louisville.
