Donald Urban  Stauble
STAUBLE,
Donald Urban, 91, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
Don proudly served in the Navy during World War II, but after the war, spent his entire career doing what he loved best, working in the tool and die industry. Don’s favorite passions were his family and friends, his love of nature and hiking in the woods.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Geri Stauble; brothers, Edward and David; sisters, Marcella Barney, Serena Summers, and Doris Trimble.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas (Ella), Mark (Sue), Gregg (Jane); daughters, Deborah Armbruster (Brad) and Donna Stauble; sister, Sr. Sarah Stauble, OSU; grandchildren, Erin Dykes (Jeremy), Scott Armbruster (Sage), Janet Reusch (Eric), Jennifer Dupree (Evan), Jeffrey Stauble (Jessica), and Melissa Cotton (Andrew); 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Also left to cherish his memory is his caretaker and the second love of his life, Gene Hasken.
His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 20 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1520 Hepburn Ave. with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
