Age 83, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Westport Place in Louisville, KY.
She was born November 12, 1933 in Louisville, KY to James and Helen Schwartz Blackwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Blackwell; and her grandparents, Joseph and Barbara Schwartz. She was Lutheran by faith.
Barbara lived in Louisville, KY and retired from Kroger in 1996 after forty four years of service. She retired to her log cabin in Okland Hills Estates in Edmonson County. It was there that she fed all the birds and animals. Honey Bunch, her cat, and all the birds and animals will really miss her.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM (Noon) at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. in Louisville.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40213.
