Obituary for Betty Jean Moore

Betty Jean (Mason) Moore
Age 93, of Louisville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 8.
Born December 9, 1923 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Lois (Stinson) Mason and William Bransford Mason, Betty married Thomas Allard Moore on September 9, 1943 and graduated with a degree in religious education from the Carver School of Missions in 1958 to prepare to serve as a pastor's wife.
Betty taught Sunday School leadership conferences for the Kentucky Baptist Convention and was a faithful Sunday School teacher for children and adults. She was Teacher Emeritus for the Willing Workers Sunday School class at St. Matthews Baptist Church and a committed member of the Fidelis Class at Little Flock Baptist Church. She served as a volunteer in the Auxiliary at Baptist Health and was devoted to her family and studying the Bible.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Stinson Mason, her father, William Bransford Mason, her husband of 62 years, Thomas Allard Moore and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by her brother, William Bransford Mason Jr. of Dallas, Texas, her loving son, Ronald Moore (Deborah), four grandchildren, Bethany Bratcher (Matthew), Nathanael Moore (Rachael), Jonathan Moore (Erin), and Sarah Clay (Dale) and five great-grandchildren, Ella Grace and Luke Bratcher, Evangeline Moore, and Logan and Avery Clay.
Funeral services in celebration of her life will be on Friday, October 13, 11 AM at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40205.
Visitation will be October 12, from 4 – 8 PM at Highlands Funeral Home.
