Earlene Jones Althouse, 80, passed away Thursday October 5, 2017. She was employed at U.S. Ecology and the University of Louisville. Earlene was the recipient of the Secretary of the Year for the Louisville Chapter of Professional Secretary International in 1988. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Howard W. Althouse; two children, Linda Seay of Murfreesboro, TN and Richard Furlong of Chicago, IL; step daughter Gwendolyn Moore of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Earlene’s Funeral Service will be held at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Monday at 10 am.. Visitation will be held at Highlands Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5pm. There will be a private burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research
