Obituary for Robert Lyle Sansbury

Robert Lyle  Sansbury
age 91, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, September 14th. He was born to the late Arthur and Alma Smith Sansbury on March 27th, 1926. Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army and served proudly during WWII. He retired from Rental Uniform Services as a Truck Driver. Robert was a man strong in his faith. He was a proud member of Our Lady of The Pillar Chapel where he was actively involved.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Cassell Blakeman; three brothers, Joe, Sammy, and Harry Sansbury; three sisters, Blanche, Mary, and Anna.
He is survived today by his two daughters, Barbara Nesbitt (Dana), Janet Duncan (Michael); two grandchildren, Caitlyn Nesbitt, Sean Duncan (Lora); three great grandchildren, Joshua Duncan (Brittany), Gavyn Duncan, Jersie Duncan; and two great-great grandchildren, Bentley and Bristol Duncan.
His funeral mass will be conducted on Tuesday, September 19th at 10 AM at Our Lady of The Pillar Chapel, 4049 S. Fifth St. Louisville, KY 40214. Burial will follow in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18th from 4 – 8 PM at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. in Louisville.
