81, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Baptist Health.
Born in Birmingham, AL, he was a US Navy veteran and retired from 3M Company after 35 years. After retirement, Art was an active volunteer in Austin, TX, served as Chairman of the Board for Monos de Cristo, was commissioner of the fire department, and was an elder in his church, Central Presbyterian. Art and Anne spent many great times traveling the world with their friends. He will be waiting for his Golden Retrievers at the Rainbow Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jesse Maple.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anne (Yocum) Maple; his brother, Tazwell Maple (Mary Ann); and a niece, Margie.
A celebration of life for Arthur will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Beargrass Christian Church (Chapel), 4100 Shelbyville Rd. Louisville, KY 40207.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM at Beargrass Chrisitian Church (Chapel).
