Condolence From: Bruce Martin Jr
Condolence: Ellis is one of the reasons I am here today. Ellis and Shirley took my father (Ellis's friend Bruce Martin Sr) and mother (Shirley's friend Rita Mitchell) out on their first date. The rest as they say is history. Ellis and Shirley have held a special place in my parents heart to this day. They do for me as well. For August 5th 1970 I was born at Louisville Baptist Hospital. My families thoughts go out to the Blanton family. Ellis is a very special person to my parents as is Shirley. The person may be gone but what he did in life will reverberate for eternity.

Condolence From: Eva Marion
Condolence: So sorry. Ellis came to visit us when we lived on Bank Street. When I saw him, I ran and gave him a big hug and all my girlfriends wanted to know who that good looking guy I was hugging. Course I was proud to say, "He's my nephew". I will always remember the quiet spoken man he was. Just because I can't make it to the funeral home, you will be in my prayers and in my heart. Love to all, Eva (Gillespie)
