Age 98, formerly of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017. She was born in Ohio County, KY to the late Lilburn Newcom and Minnie Renfrow. Edna was a strong Christian and very ac¬tive in her church. She worked hard at many jobs while also being a mother and homemaker. She spent many hours in her garden and kitchen, and loved playing croquet. She was a tremendous example for the modern day millennial of what work ethic truly looks like. She did not let the ailments of the day nor her body stand in her way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, O.P. Sand¬efur; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Edna is survived by her two children, Marion L. Sandefur (Patricia), Dallas Farnsley; five grandchildren, M. Scott Sandefur, Jane Anne Sandefur Sinnott (Sean), Juli Annet Sandefur Clowers (Randy), Brian Allen Farnsley (Karla), and Brent Edward Farnsley (Kimberly); nine great grandchildren; and five step great grand¬children.
A graveside service was held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Monday, August 7th at 11:00 AM.
