Donald Charles Bobzien, 85, passed away on July 31, 2017.

Don was a member of the Saint Xavier High School class of 1950. He then received the first diploma of the first graduating class (the Pioneer Class) of Bellarmine University in 1954, and after serving approximately two years in the U.S. Army, he received his MBA from Indiana University-Bloomington.

Don was a member of the Board of Trustees of Bellarmine and longtime member of Bellarmine’s President’s Society. He was a CPA and partner-in-charge of the Louisville office of Deloitte, from which he retired in 1990.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Beatrice; his daughter Angela; his brother Gene; sisters Elaine and Joyce.

He is survived by his wife Joy; son Todd (Amanda); five grandchildren, Carson, Colton, Carolina, Preston, and Grayson; and sister Joan (Don).

Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday August 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with the funeral immediately following at noon at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, 40207. The burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
