Obituary for Ronald Joseph Dilger

Ronald Joseph  Dilger
age 76, passed away at home on Friday July 14, 2017. Ron will be sorely missed by the many family and friends who loved him. Ron, along with his wife, owned several businesses including Nationwide Sweeping and Nationwide Auto Restoration. The latter of which, restored multiple award winning vintage British show cars and vintage race cars.
After his family, Ron was most proud of his extensive service in the United States Army. He served his country for 27 years, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. Ron spent much of his Army career as a member of the elite All Army Rifle Team. He was awarded the highest honor a soldier and individual team member can receive for his dedication and service.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty; his son, Craig and daughter-in-law, Sarah; his daughter, Shannon and friend Alex; and four amazing grandchildren, Oxford, Talbott, Morgan, and Will. He will also be missed by his sister, Celine Kremer and brother-in-law, Roger and nephew, Darren and nieces, Denine and Tara.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Rd., with a private burial to follow.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Home of the Innocents/Autism or the Dole Foundation Hidden Heroes Project.
