TRACY,
Margene Smith, 85, of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at Jewish Hospital.
She was the former Margene Smith, born to the late Eugene and Marguerite Smith. In her earlier years she loved raising her family in her hometown of Memphis, TN. Later on, the family transferred to Naperville, IL where more friends were met and where she enjoyed her barn and horses. Later on in life, she loved her small group of close church friends from St. Bernadette in Prospect, KY. She never met a stranger and loved socializing with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James T. “Terry” Tracy; and grandsons, Fedya Tracy and Michael Mach.
Margene is survived by her children, Terry Tracy, Jr. (Gwen), Vicky Wendt, Timothy Tracy (Rhonda), Carolyn Valerio, Patrick Tracy (Dede), and Susie Gullett (Shannon); grandchildren, Tracy Leister (Richie), Brittany Hanson (Steve), Travis Tracy, Sean McGinnis, Shane Tracy, Cassandra, Daniel, and Maria Valerio, Cody and Kirsty Tracy, and Jack, Lilly, and Megan Gullett; and twin great-grandsons, Mach and Trey Leister.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 6500 St. Bernadette Ave. with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
