QUIGGINS,
Harold Edward, Jr., passed away peacefully Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the age of 74.
Harold grew up in Louisville, attending Butler High School and graduating from the University of Louisville with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He spent his career working for JCPS as a teacher and athletic director at Doss High School where he greatly impacted the school and students' lives. Harold then moved to the central office as the Director of School Support Services where he continued to serve JCPS until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Edward, Sr. and Artie Mae Quiggins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kay; his children, Greg (Missi), Andy (Robynn), and Katie Lawson (Tony); and his six grandchildren, Clayton, Carson, Hadley, Harper, Ava, and Wyatt.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands.
