Obituary for Stu Schuster

Stu Schuster
SCHUSTER,
Stu, 69, died peacefully at home on 3/18/17 surrounded by family. Stu was born in Louisville, KY on 10/27/47 to Sam and Gladys Schuster, who predeceased him. He is also predeceased by his brother Stanley Schuster, his sister Sandy Wettig, his sister-in-law Anne Schuster and his nephew Scott Schuster.

Stu is survived by his wife, Mindy Warren, who loved, respected and laughed with him for 18 years; and by his siblings, Sam Schuster of Portland, Oregon, Susanne Schuster (Carl Brush) of Oakland, CA, Steve Schuster (Joan) of Louisville, Sharon Schuster-Craig (John) of Grand Rapids, MI and Sally Taylor (Bill) of Floyds Knobs, IN. Stu is also survived by his brother-in-law, Tony Wettig, of Louisville and his sister-in-law, Susie "O" Schuster, of Cochise, AZ. He is survived by his Warren family, Jimmy Warren (Laura), Judy Warren and John Warren (Cheri), all of Louisville. He leaves behind two god daughters, Carri Taylor and Anna Warren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his canine companion Marley.

Stuart graduated from Holy Trinity Elementary School, Trinity High School and the University of Louisville. He was a retired contractor and entrepreneur. Stu never met a stranger and his generosity, spontaneity and good spirit will be missed. His colorful lifestyle included owning a bar in Lexington in the 1970's, co-owning a seafood restaurant in the 1980's, a love of music, a gift of telling hilarious stories, and the very best sense of humor. He made everyone around him feel comfortable. Stu was "just a great guy."

A remembrance of Stuart's life will be held on Monday, 3/27/17 from 3:00-7:00 pm at The North End Cafe, 2116 Bardstown Road, with a brief memorial at 5:00 PM. Donations in Stu's memory may be made to the KY Humane Society Louisville, Hosparus, or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
