PRANTE,
Doris DeWeese, 95, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born January 20, 1922 in New Albany, IN, the only child of William O. and Clara Olinick DeWeese.
She was married October 2, 1941 to Robert L. Prante, Jr. They were married for 70 years until he passed away in 2012.
Doris was a secretary for L&N Railroad during WWII, later worked for the old Railway Express Agency, and Chemetron.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Broster; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jon and Anna Klausing Broster; great-granddaughters, Celia and Lucy Broster; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Smith; and dear friends, Jeanne Roberts, and Carole and Rick Volz.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Louisville Zoo.
