HIGGS, Edgar Valtie, 80, of Louisville, returned Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Born to the late Valtie Higgs and Hazel Hurt, he was a man of strength, courage and character that placed in his trust in God.
He graduated from Male High School and retired from Bigelow Tea.
Besides his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Laquieta Elizabeth Priddy Higgs.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Higgs, Terry and Amie Higgs, and Karen and Rick Seymour; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be 2-7pm Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Funeral service will be 12pm Monday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, East.
