CHILDRESS, Doris (Golde), 94, of Louisville, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Episcopal Church Home.
Born in Louisville, KY on June 6, 1922, she was a retired JCPS lunchroom manager and homemaker. Doris was a member of Deer Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph P. Childress and son, Bruce E. Childress.
She is survived by her son, Stephen P. Childress (Brenda); daughter-in-law, Carolyn Childress; grandchildren, Amy Childress, Erin Zimmer (Ed), and Dana Sudduth ( John); and great-grandchildren, Travis Zimmer, Magnolia, and Lydia Sudduth.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, January 30, 2017 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Sunday at Highlands, and 10:00 am until time of service Monday.
