WAGNER, Jo Anne (Kederis), 84, passed away and was united with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
She was a long-time member of Ascension Catholic Church, but attended Mass at the Chapel at Sacred Heart Village in recent years. In addition to being a member of Ascension, she also taught there. She was a graduate of Presentation Academy and Spalding University. She loved teaching, was an avid reader, and later in life enjoyed watching UofL basketball games.
Jo Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband, David L. Wagner, Sr.; and her parents, Minnie and Joe Kederis.
Left to remember her, are her children David L. Wagner, Jr. (Betty), Dana Wagner, Laura Wagner (Kenneth Smith), Michelle DeSpain (Jim), Kevin Wagner, Paul Wagner (Joel Buno), and Krissy Shelby (Alan); brother, Cleves Kederis; grandchildren, Katie, David, Natalie, Jamie, Robert, Ashley, Hannah, Michael, Paige, Olivia, Xander, Kelsey, and Luke; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Jo Anne’s funeral Mass will be private with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 pm Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sacred Heart Village for the wonderful care they gave Jo Anne for many years, and especially their kindness during her journey home.
