Obituary for Gregory Dean Faltin

Gregory  Dean  Faltin
FALTIN, Gregory Dean, 50, died suddenly on 28 December.
Born on Long Island and raised in Miami, he received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy upon his high school graduation. A 1987 graduate from the Academy with a BS in electrical engineering, he attended UPT in Enid, OK. A top graduate from UPT, he was assigned to fly the F-16 Falcon. The youngest pilot in Tactical Air Command, he eventually earned Wing Top Gun. Greg was the consummate officer and gentleman.
In 1995, Greg entered the business sector as an engineer for York, Intl. In 1998, he accepted a position as a design and sales engineer with Harshaw Trane. Greg was a member of the USAF AOG, ASHRAE, and Hurstbourne Country Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Krista Hagan Faltin; daughter, Sophia; son, Sehr; parents, Gary and Mary Faltin; brother, Jay (Kerry); parents-in-law, Joe Guy and Merwyn Hagan; sisters-in-law, Karen Bauer (Greg) and Karla Hagan; nephews and niece, Elliott (Emily), Noah, Angelica, Ethan (Brianna), and Evan.
Visitation will be from 12-8 pm Sunday, 1 January at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Funeral Mass Monday at 11 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Rd.
