Obituary for James R. "Jim" Duffin, Jr.

64, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 with family by his side.
Jim served 43 honorable years with the Louisville Fire Department. He was known as “Duff” and served many of those years as chief cook and chief prankster at Engine 8. The many lives he touched have their own personal stories and memories.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Still Duffin.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Susan Zoeller Duffin; daughter, Erin Sappenfield (Tom) and son, Ricky Duffin; grandson, TJ Sappenfield; father, James R. Duffin, Sr.; sister, Ann Duffin; and brother, Neill Duffin.
His funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 15 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 p.m. until time of service Thursday at Highlands.
