PINGRY, RICHARD W., 81, of Louisville, KY, formerly from Huntsville, AL, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away December 6, 2016.
Richard was an Army veteran and retired after 42 years from Federal Civil Service. In this capacity, he served in Iran, Germany, Korea, Taiwan, and England as well as Texas, Colorado, Washington, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Alabama.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary; daughter, Tonya K. Ortiz; stepson, Keith A. Roberts; and four sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma DeToma Pingry; daughter Bonnie Selby (Brian)of Corydon, IA; stepsons, Kerry J. Roberts (Monica) of New Albany, IN and John Roberts; stepdaughter, Anne R. Dwyer (Victor); grandchildren, Sonja and Ciera Ortiz of Louisville, James Zeppa of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Busch of Kansas City, KS, Cheyanne and Nathan Selby of Corydon, IA, Kody Roberts of Columbia, SC, and Cameron Dwyer of Louisville, Willie, Joe, Angel Rodriguez, Jesus Calvo of Orlando, Fl, and Charlene Fadekis of Bakersfield, CA; plus seven great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Grimes of Huntington, IN; and his furry friend Rico.
Visitation will be 2-6 pm Saturday, December 10th at Highlands Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date.
