Eichberger
William E. "Bill", Jr., 85, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was born November 27, 1930 to William “Earl” Eichberger, Sr. and Marie Hagedorn. Bill was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, class 1948, and attended the University of Louisville. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was controller at Ehrler’s Dairy for 27 years, and then Director of Corporate Accounting at Flav-O-Rich for 14 years, until he retired in 1994.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lucy (Passafiume) Eichberger and great-grandchildren, Sloan, Rylan and Abel Clark.
He is survived by his five children, Stephen (Debbie), Mark (Phyllis), Michele Williams (Vince), Paul, and Joan; six grandchildren, Andrew Eichberger (Susan), Joanna Clark. (Joe), Nick Williams, Jessi Eichberger, Michael Eichberger and Jenny Williams; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Koltyn, Hudson and Owen Eichberger, and Kendall Clark He is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Schweinhart and Jo Ann Heines.
His memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. John Paull II, 3042 Hikes Lane with burial in St. Michael Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
