NEUNER, Mavis E., 94, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Norton Suburban Hospital.
A homemaker, the former Mavis Thomas was born in Louisville and was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Walter Neuner; a son, Charles Durward Neuner; and siblings, Violet Lashley, Ronald Thomas and Nellie Mae Miller.
Mavis is survived by her children, Gwendolyn Marie Hutchison, Philip Neil Neuner (Beverly), and Mary Bernadette Perkins (Emmett “Pete”); daughter-in-law, Rhoda Yvonne Neuner; siblings, Uldine Skees (Bill), Regina Barnes, Lyle Thomas (Joanne) and Charles Thomas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Lane, with private burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lanesville, Indiana. Visitation will be from 2-7 pm on Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
