YATES, Sr. James N, 70, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
Born in Louisville, he was a 1962 graduate of St. Xavier High School and a 1966 graduate of Bellarmine University. He was a partner for 28 years at Henderman, Jessee & Co., where he was a Certified Public Accountant.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Nelson Yates, Jr. and Mary Fuchs Yates; brother, Louis Yates; and first wife, Judy Fremdling Yates.
He is survived by his wife, Marisue Nichols Yates; children, James N. Yates, Jr. (Laura) and Stephanie Hodges (Jason); stepchildren, Jane Bennett (Roger) and Rick Becker (Kristen); siblings, Bill Yates (Sandy), Mary Kay Sinclair (John) and Tom Yates (Donna); sister-in-law, Dina Jo Yates; and grandchildren, Kyle and Samantha Yates, Rebecca Jessup, Roger Michael and Brody Bennett, Alissa Lykke, and Revin Becker.
Jim’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or St. Xavier High School.
