James A. Grider, 72, of Louisville, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Masonic Home.
He was an attorney in private practice. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville in 1967 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville in 1971.
He was a member of the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and Big Spring Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Kenyon; children, Dee Dee Stevens (Bill), Jimmy Grider (Lisa), Christopher (Jenny) and Schuyler John (Christina) and eight grandchildren.
According to his wishes, Mr. Grider will be cremated. There will be a private memorial service at 4:30 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. A public memorial visitation will be from 2:30-4:30 P.M. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
