VAN WINKLE,
Julia Elizabeth, 94, of Louisville, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Jefferson Place.
She was a lifelong Catholic and a retired nurse for AT&T, formerly Bell South. She was a member of Queen’s Daughters, American Association of University Women, KY Telephone Pioneers and the Louisville Orchestra Associates.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Neel and Elizabeth Finagan Van Winkle; sisters, Mary Nix, Dorothy Patterson and Patricia Ary; and brothers, Charles and Stephen Van Winkle.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Linda S. Siemon; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 21 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave. with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
