Obituary for Brenda Joyce Yates
YATES, BRENDA JOYCE, 61, of Louisville, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011.
She was a retired school teacher from JCPS and a member of Tabernacle of David Church.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Yates; and her brother, Donald Yates.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Curella (Brian); mother, Mildred Yates; brother, David Yates (Susie); sister; Debbie Lee (Dennis); grandchildren, Hali and Toni Curella and Christian and Faith Johnson; best friend, Robin Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Northeast Christian Church, 9900 Brownsboro Road. A reception will follow
